Paycheck Budget Worksheet

Plan each check on its own: its bills, its spending, its savings. Every dollar gets a job before the next check lands.

Paid weekly? Use one block per pair of checks. Extra check this month? It goes straight to savings or debt — it was never in the plan.

The Method

  • Assign every bill to the paycheck that lands before its due date — that's the whole trick.
  • “Left unassigned” should be $0: every dollar gets a job — bills, spending, or savings.
  • If a check goes negative, move a bill to the other check or ask the biller to shift your due date — most will.
